By creating an account or using the ConvoEQ iOS application, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

A. Information You Provide

When creating or using an account, you may provide:

  • Account credentials
  • Profile information you choose to provide
  • Audio recordings you intentionally record within the app
  • Text submitted for conversation analysis

Account creation may occur through:

  • Email and password
  • Google sign-in

Email addresses may be used for:

  • Account authentication

  • Optional delivery of conversation summaries or coaching insights when requested by the user
B. Audio Data

The app allows users to intentionally record conversations for the purpose of generating communication coaching insights.

Important:

  • The app does not record audio unless the user manually starts recording
  • The app does not record background audio
  • The app does not access microphone data when recording is not active

Users are responsible for ensuring that recording conversations complies with applicable laws in their jurisdiction, including obtaining consent from other participants where required.

C. Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect limited technical information including:

  • Device type
  • iOS version
  • App version
  • App usage data
  • Diagnostics and crash logs

Crash diagnostics and usage data may be collected through Apple Analytics for the purpose of improving application stability and performance.

3. AI Processing and Conversation Analysis

ConvoEQ provides features including:

  • Speech transcription
  • Talk-time analysis
  • Conversation metrics
  • AI-generated communication coaching feedback

To provide these features, audio recordings and text submitted by users are processed through secure artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Data Processed During AI Analysis

When AI features are used, the following information may be processed:

  • User-submitted audio recordings
  • Transcriptions generated from those recordings
  • User-submitted text
  • Derived conversational metrics (for example, talk-time ratios)
4. Third-Party AI Processing Providers

To generate transcription and AI coaching insights, ConvoEQ transmits user-submitted audio or text through secure infrastructure operated by specialized AI providers including:

  • Anthropic PBC

Processing flow:

User device → ConvoEQ servers → AI processing provider

Third-party providers:

  • Process data solely on our behalf
  • Are contractually prohibited from selling user data
  • Do not retain data longer than necessary for processing
  • May not use the data for marketing or independent model training
  • Maintain industry-standard encryption and security safeguards
5. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service.

Audio Recordings

Audio recordings are processed for transcription and analysis and are not retained longer than necessary to complete processing.

Transcripts

Generated transcripts are temporarily stored for processing and delivery of coaching insights and are automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Conversation Data

Conversation data is not retained for long-term archival purposes unless the user explicitly saves or exports information.

Account Information

Basic account information may be retained while the account remains active. Users may request deletion of their account at any time.

6. Data Use

We use collected information solely to:

  • Operate and maintain the ConvoEQ app
  • Generate communication coaching insights
  • Deliver requested conversation summaries
  • Improve application functionality
  • Maintain security and prevent misuse
  • Diagnose and fix technical issues

User conversation content is not used to train public artificial intelligence models.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be shared only in the following circumstances:

AI Processing Providers

Audio and text submitted for analysis may be processed by authorized AI service providers such as Anthropic.

Infrastructure Providers

Secure cloud infrastructure providers may process data necessary to operate the application.

Legal Compliance

Information may be disclosed when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users or the company.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including:
